Filling of Candidacy[Please Read]

RE: ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2009-2010


Please be informed that the filing of candidacy for the election of SLAS officers for the School Year 2009-2010 will start today July 2, 2009 until July 4, 2009. The following are the positions with their respective qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATION
1. President --must have completed 4 terms
2. Vice-President --must have completed 4 terms
3. Secretary & Assistant Secretary --must have completed 2 terms
4. Treasurer & Assistant Treasurer --must have completed 2 terms
5. Auditor & Assistant Auditor --must have completed 2 terms
6. Press Relations Officer --must have completed 2 terms
7. Business Managers --must have completed 2 terms
8. Departmental Representatives --must have completed 2 terms

All applicants must be of good moral character and dedicated in his/her library work.

One semester is equivalent to 1 term; and summer is equivalent to ½ term. The Departmental Representatives shall be voted only by the members belonging to the department he/she is representing.

Certificate of Candidacy forms are to be released by our COMELEC members. Campaign period starts on Monday, July 6, 2009 and will end on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 7 pm.

Freedom unexercised may become freedom forfeited. Let us exercise our freedom to vote.
